Gaming is a very broad niche. You could be referring to first-person shooter games, simulators, multiplayer, single players, online, mystery, fantasy, fighting, racing, flying, surfing, the list could go on forever. Trying to focus on all of these gaming sub-niches is very exhausting & will make it harder for your gaming YouTube channel to grow.
You want to dedicate your gaming YouTube channel to one gaming sub-niche & focus on that to accelerate your growth.
Before you move on, pick 1 genre within gaming to use for your gaming YouTube channel.
After you have done that, pick 2-3 games within that gaming genre, to focus your content around. Any more than that, and you’ll overwhelm yourself. If you pick less than 2-3 games within your chosen genre, it will be harder for your gaming YouTube channel to grow, so take the time to complete the step all the way. It will be worth it.

Lets now focus on creating an uploading schedule for your gaming YouTube channel.
Why do you need one?
As Benjamin Franklin said, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail”.
For that reason, I am going to show you how to create an effective uploading schedule for your YouTube channel & how to stick to it for long term results.
What you first want to do is pick 2 – 5 days to upload to your channel. If you are a busy person, aim to upload at least twice a week. If you are more flexible with your time, we highly recommend not posting more than 5 videos a week.
After you have your days chosen, assign your gaming genres to a day along with the type of video. It should look like this
Keeping on doing this until you have planned content out, 1 month in advance. By doing this, it will bring you one step closer to becoming a full-time gaming YouTubers.
Executing the plan
This is the stage where a lot of people get stuck. They want to follow their passions and dreams but they are too scared to take the first leap.
How do we combat this? Simple, follow the exercise given below.
Before you start to take action on your new 1-month uploading schedule for YouTube, I want you to upload 1-3 videos to your channel, showing your face. In these videos, I want you to introduce yourself & share why you are starting your Gaming YouTube channel.
