How To Market Yourself As A Realtor, On YouTube

As a realtor, you must be promoting yourself across all platforms at all times. This will allow you to build a brand & different ways of acquiring new buyers & sellers. I’m pretty sure you are on Facebook & Instagram, but have you ever thought about YouTube?

YouTube is a website that receives hundreds of millions of unique viewers daily. Leaving this site out of your marketing plan could cost you big time in the long run.

In this article, we are going to show you how to market yourself as a realtor on YouTube. Not with Google Ads but with a YouTube channel. Having a channel will benefit you more in the long run.

We will split this topic into 4 different parts.

  • Establishing the purpose of your YouTube channel
  • Creating an uploading schedule
  • Executing the uploading schedule with persistence
  • Building a long term brand for high rankings in Google search.

Let’s begin!

Establishing The Purpose Of Your YouTube channel

Establishing a purpose for your YouTube channel before posting to it is very important. This will make things 100% easier to manage, allowing you to spend time doing other important things.

We highly recommend that you take a few minutes to create a purpose for your channel. If you need a guide, please complete the exercise below.

The purpose of my Real Estate YouTube channel is to help (Your ideal customer), (solve a problem).

There are tons of problems you can solve with a real estate YouTube channel. Here go a list of the most common things people solve.

  • Buying/selling questions
  • Tips
  • Advice
  • Customer reviews
  • Showcasing houses
  • Vlogs/behind the scenes
  • Selling mentorship/courses

Please take the time to figure out what you would like to dedicate your channel too. Having this purpose figured & written out will help you achieve it 100% faster.

Creating An Uploading Schedule

Once your channel purpose is created, it is time to create an uploading schedule. Having an uploading schedule in place will let you know, what & when a video needs to be created and uploaded. This will help reduce the amount of time it takes to create a video & procrastinating.

Staying organized with an uploading schedule will also help you have a clear mind and not get frustrated which is key.

To create an uploading schedule, you first want to pick 1-3 days you can dedicate a few minutes to YouTube.

Once you are done, use your YouTube channels purpose as a guide to figure out content to post for those days. You want to keep doing this until you have a months worth of content planned. It should look something like this.

We recommend using excel or Google sheets for easy tracking & updating.

This may seem boring but it is key, for having an effective real estate YouTube channel.

Executing The Uploading Schedule With Persistence

What good is a plan if you don’t execute it? The funny thing is, most people get to this stage and they give up. You want to know the number 1 reason why?

People know exactly what they need to do to start a YouTube channel, but they just get stuck when they are about to start. It’s like they need something to push them over the edge to build momentum.

Complete the exercise below to avoid this.

Before you start executing your uploading schedule, you first want to post 1-2 videos of you showing your face

In these videos, you want to introduce yourself & share the vision you have for your real estate YouTube channel.

Doing this simple exercise will help you get over this initial hurdle.

After the initial hurdle is gone, you want to stick to your plan & continue to plan for months ahead.

Building A Long Term Brand To Rank High In Google Search

Did you know that videos are 50 times more likely to show up on Google search than regular text & images? Even if your YouTube channel doesn’t work out, you can still benefit heavily from the search engine boost.

This will allow you to rank higher than your competitors. Since most realtors don’t use YouTube to market their services, ranking higher than them should be an easy task.

You can also place your website link in each video description to help drive traffic to it & boost your rankings in Google search. All of this will be beneficial in the long run.
