If you are a chiropractor, you’ve probably noticed the recent spike in chiropractic YouTube channels. These channels don’t get hundreds of views, they get millions of views making it a very powerful tool for acquiring new long term customers.
Why watch someone else benefit from YouTube when your chiropractic practice can do the same in a matter of weeks?
Here is how to start and grow a chiropractic YouTube channel.
Create a simple detailed plan
If you fail to plan, your planning to fail. After working with dozens of clients the ones that succeed always had a plan in place with realistic goal they could achieve.
When creating your game plan for YouTube, you want to keep it extremely simple. You should focus on answering these three questions.
- When will I create videos?
- What will my videos be about?
- How will I film them?
Let’s start with the first one. When will I create my videos?
So when it comes to uploading videos to YouTube, it is very important to post on a consistent schedule. YouTube likes this & it will reward your channel by showing your videos to more people.
For a chiropractic YouTube channel, we highly recommend posting about 1-2 times a week. More than that will overwhelm you at first, and less then that will make it extremely hard to grow.
Pick 1-2 days each week to set aside to set some time for YouTube.
Make sure you stick to this specific time every week to help you better maintain consistency.
Okay now that your posting schedule is set, you now have to figure out what type of videos to create. As a chiropractor, you have a wide variety of options to choose from. You could post videos about adjustments, cracking, advice, & ASMR. Those are the more common video ideas.
What you want to do now is pick 1-2 chiropractor video ideas & assign them to a day of the week. Keep on doing this until you have 4 weeks worth of content already planned out. It should look like this
Please do not rush past the steps listed above. Even though it may seem boring, it will be the difference between your chiropractic YouTube channel failing or not.
Okay now that your planning is complete, you now need to figure out a way to record your videos.
When it comes to filming your video, we recommend purchasing a $100 – $300 dollar camera with a decent SD card. Filming on your phone does work, but it will not look professional & your patients might get the wrong idea which is why we recommend just getting a decent camera for a few hundred bucks.
Depending if you have someone to assist you or not, it would be a good idea to purchase a tripod specifically for the camera you will be using. This will allow you to record yourself without someone managing the camera. The only con is, you will have to change the camera position each time you move, so figure out a creative way to minimize this.
As a beginner you do not need lighting or a microphone, but those will make a great investment after you have a few dozen videos up. Your number one priority now is to get started.
Executing your plan
We can sit here and plan all day but you will never achieve anything if you don’t execute your plan.
For most people, this is the hardest step. It may take people weeks or months just to upload their first video, which is why we recommend you do this, so you are able to quickly get over this phase.
Before you start executing your actual plan, I want to you upload 2 – 3 videos showing your face. In these videos I want you to introduce yourself & your practice, then explain the different goals/vision for your chiropractic Youtube channel.
Doing this simple exercise will allow you to build the momentum needed to start executing on the plan you just created. After these videos are uploaded, you must stick to your plan on a consistent basis.
Remember, 80% of success is just showing up.
